Croatia keeps pretending it’s still a hidden gem. Some of it is. Some of it is definitely not. Dubrovnik is infested, Split isn’t far behind, and the crowds will only grow from here.

But here’s the thing: the vast majority of tourists never leave the cities. They do Dubrovnik, they do Split, and they go home. Which means the islands- Brač, Hvar, Mljet, and others- remain prime destinations. 

My Croatia content is built around doing it the right way: island hopping from Split to Dubrovnik, finding the spots the lazy tourists never reach, and jumping off every cliff I could find into the Adriatic. Of which there are many.
