Montenegro was a last minute decision. My friends and I were planning a 10 day summer trip, and essentially picked Montenegro out of a hat.

It turned out to be one of the most underrated places I’ve ever been. Within a few hours of each other you’ve got a coastline with incredible beaches, mountains that rival the Alps, and the deepest canyon in Europe. Oh, and Lake Skadar. People forget about Lake Skadar.

My friends and I rented a car (nicknamed Boboš), and did a loop around basically the entire country. I’ve covered as much of it as I can- start below.
